Sterling Value Pre-Owned – Used Vehicle Limited Warranty

Warranty Coverage
This Limited Warranty provides coverage for essential mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle as outlined herein. Coverage includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Engine – Cylinder block, heads, and all internal parts; crankshaft and camshaft bearings; connecting rods and pistons; valve train; timing gears, chain/belt, and cover; oil pump and housing; manifolds; flywheel; water pump; harmonic balancer; valve covers; oil pan; engine mounts; turbocharger/supercharger housings and internal parts.
  • Fuel Delivery Components – Fuel pump, EFI sensors/control units, fuel pressure regulators, fuel sending unit, diesel injection pump.
  • Transmission/Transaxle/Transfer Case – Case and internal parts; input/output shafts; clutches; bands; governor; thrust bearings; washers; torque converter; modulator; mounts; solenoid pack; electronic control unit; oil pan.
  • Front-Wheel Drive – Final drive housing and internal parts; axle shafts and bearings; constant velocity joints; differential; case.
  • Rear-Wheel Drive – Axle shafts and bearings; housing; internal parts; side and pinion gears; limited slip; propeller shafts; universal joints; center support bearings; yokes.
  • Brakes – Master cylinder; booster; wheel cylinders; disc calipers.
  • Electrical – Starter motor/solenoid; alternator/generator; voltage regulator; wiper motors; ignition switch and lock cylinder; ignition control module; distributor; emergency warning flasher switch.
  • Air Conditioning (Manufacturer-Installed) – Compressor, clutch and bearing, condenser, evaporator, accumulator, switches, receiver dryer, and control programmer.

Duration of Coverage
This Limited Warranty is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first. This warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Eligibility
Only vehicles that are 10 model years old or newer and have an odometer reading between 0 and 100,000 miles at the time of purchase are eligible for coverage under this Limited Warranty.

Exclusions from Coverage
This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • Regular maintenance and wear items, including but not limited to oil changes, filters, wiper blades, brake pads, belts, tires, and bulbs.
  • Damage arising from accidents, misuse, neglect, improper or insufficient maintenance, unauthorized repairs, or modifications.
  • Costs related to towing, rental vehicles, lodging, or alternative transportation.
  • Vehicles used for commercial purposes, ride-sharing, delivery, racing, off-road, or any activity beyond the manufacturer’s intended use.
  • Secondary or consequential damages caused by the failure of a covered part.
  • Damage resulting from natural disasters, fire, theft, vandalism, or other uncontrollable events

Filing a Warranty Claim
All warranty claims must be initiated directly with Sterling Value Pre-Owned. The vehicle must be presented at an authorized Sterling Value Pre-Owned service center for inspection. Repairs must be completed by certified technicians or approved service providers. Unauthorized repairs or alterations will void this Limited Warranty.

Out-of-State Buyers
Sterling Value Pre-Owned collaborates with official dealers and authorized repair shops to provide warranty service for out-of-state customers. If a covered component fails within 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever occurs first) from the date the customer receives the vehicle, Sterling Value Pre-Owned will be responsible for repair costs only when performed by official dealers of the vehicle’s make.

  • Hyundai Motor Group: Hyundai, Kia, Genesis
  • Volkswagen Group: Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini

 

  • BMW Group: BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce
  • Mercedes-Benz Group: Mercedes-Benz, Smart
  • Jaguar Land Rover: Jaguar, Land Rover
  • Volvo Cars: Volvo
  • Subaru Corporation: Subaru
  • Mazda Motor Corporation: Mazda
Repairs carried out by non-official or unauthorized service providers will not be covered under this Limited Warranty.

Limitation of Liability
Sterling Value Pre-Owned’s responsibility under this Limited Warranty is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of defective covered parts, at its sole discretion. Sterling Value Pre-Owned shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including loss of use of the vehicle.

12-Day Trial Period
The purchaser is entitled to a 12-day trial period beginning on the date of purchase or delivery, whichever occurs first. During this period, the purchaser may evaluate the vehicle. If unsatisfied, the vehicle may be returned within the 12-day period, provided it is in the same condition as at delivery. Excessive mileage or damage may result in deductions or fees from the original purchase price. The return process must be initiated by contacting Sterling Value Pre-Owned’s customer service team within the 12-day period.

Acknowledgment
This Limited Warranty is offered in addition to rights provided under applicable consumer protection laws. By signing the purchase agreement, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted the terms and limitations of this Limited Warranty.

Sterling Value Pre-Owned Warranty Coverage

What’s Covered:
Our warranty provides coverage for essential mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle, as outlined in the warranty agreement. This includes repairs needed due to defects in materials or workmanship.

Duration of the Warranty:
The warranty is valid for 10 months from the date of purchase or up to 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

Exclusions from Coverage:
The following items are not covered under our warranty:

  • Regular maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and other routine upkeep.
  • Damages resulting from accidents, misuse, neglect, insufficient maintenance, unauthorized repairs, or modifications.
  • Parts that naturally wear out, such as brake pads, tires, windshield wipers, bulbs, and belts.
  • Any modifications made by the customer or a third party will void the warranty.
  • Vehicles used for commercial purposes, racing, off-roading, or any activity outside the intended use of the manufacturer.

Filing a Warranty Claim:
To initiate a warranty claim, please contact Sterling Value Pre-Owned directly for assistance. The vehicle must be brought to our authorized service center for inspection and repair. All repairs covered under the warranty must be carried out by our certified technicians or approved service providers. Unauthorized repairs or modifications will void the warranty.

Warranty Exclusions:
The following situations are excluded from coverage under this warranty:

  • Damage from accidents, floods, natural disasters, fire, theft, vandalism, or other uncontrollable events.
  • Damage resulting from improper maintenance, misuse, neglect, or unauthorized repairs.
  • Secondary damage caused by the failure of a covered part.
  • Costs associated with towing, rental vehicles, or alternative transportation.

Limitation of Liability:
Our responsibility under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing defective parts, at our discretion. Sterling Value Pre-Owned is not liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the vehicle.

10-Day Trial Period:

  • The trial period begins on the day of purchase or vehicle delivery, whichever is applicable.
  • During this 10-day period, you are encouraged to fully test and evaluate the vehicle.
  • If you are not satisfied, you may return the vehicle within 10 days of purchase.
  • The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as when it was purchased. Damages or excessive mileage may result in deductions or fees from the original purchase price.
  • To start the return process, please contact our customer service team within the trial period. We will assist you with the return procedure and provide additional instructions.
